T-Mobile

I have been trying for four months now to get T-Mobile to suspend my cellular service, since I'm in a place where I'm unable to use it.

For four months now they have continued to charge me for a service I CANNOT USE, and they refuse to acknowledge my attempts to get them to do something about this via their "contact us" link on their website.

Way to support the troops, T-Mobile! Thanks a lot.

There, I feel better now, though I'm still out more than $200, and counting.

Blessings and peace to one and all,

Fr. Tim, SJ

You will not have to incur any bills...

Hello Father Tim:

I am a soldier's foster mom; he hates the word mom and calls me aunt. Imagine the word mom being an prejorative. When I found your blog many months ago I was so happy to know that even though my soldier vehimently denies any spirituality that someone like you would be there when he needs you. I casually mention your blog and tell him funny things, like your comment about the Air Force, which he called "Chair Force." I've talked to him about the idea of a creater that is big enough to hold the knowledge of the terrible abuse he suffered and still love him, based on your comments. And I've learned to wake up and say "Help me" and "Thank you" before sleeping. And I've realized that while I've been trying to "help him" what I've really needed is the same information and guidance. I think you refer to this as taking someones inventory. I want to gratefully thank you for continuing to blog through morter strikes, heat, dust and rain, and interminable downloads. I can close my eyes and see the same starry skies he sees thanks to your description. Thank you for your considerable committment to all our soldiers. I know my soldier will find you when he needs you, because our creator is here, with him now.

Ma'am -- Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. If you'd like to contact me directly, you can write cptdrfrtim a t g m a i l d o t c o m (I'm trying to avoid spambots scavenging an address; put the components together like a real address, and you've got it!). In any case, I'm praying for you and your son. Thank you for your sacrifices in this war, Ma'am. God bless you.

Tim -- it really does get better, as long as you keep your sense of humor and spend time with the "Boss" every day. My experimental blog is p h r o g g e . w o r d p r e s s . c o m Also spaced to avoid spammers. Besides being the Community Priest here, my real job is TOPCOP -- The Old Padre and Command Old Phart. Take care of the guys, but, from experience, take care of yourself first, especially your prayer.

Jim
