Photo Op

The Archbishop invited all of the priests who were in the area to a breakfast in a rather nice place, so here's a photo that SFC McG took of us with him. CSM M (Command Sergeant Major), whom I'd invited to accompany us, mentioned during the meal that we were in that building on the anniversary of his unit having captured it a number of years ago now.

Go figure. With the exception of the Archbishop, who's never been in the military, everyone else in the photo is a Captain. Of course, the Navy Captain outranks the rest of us Army Captains by three pay grades, but who's counting?

And what's with me being the shortest person up there?

Other than when I was in Spain on Foreign Study during college, and when I've been in Chiang Mai, Thailand, that always seems to happen.... (Thanks, Mom and Dad.)

And on another topic entirely: A festive and blessed Passover to all who eat the Seder meal this evening!

Blessings and peace to one and all,

Fr. Tim, SJ

About you being the shortest person in the room: you know what they say about good things coming in small packages--so thank your mom and dad for real!

And, btw, the archbishop doesn't look all that much taller than you!
