Let it snow....

Yesterday morning I woke up, donned the fluffy terry robe my parents sent me (thanks Mom & Dad!) and set off for my morning ablutions. Outside, of course.

At least it's not as far a walk as I had while in Iraq.

And there have been no rockets exploding here for a long time.

Much to my chagrin, the snow that had been predicted had begun to fall overnight, and while it wasn't much, yesterday morning was the first time I've walked outside wearing a terrycloth robe and not much else. Ever.

Let it snow.

Somewhere else.

Blessings and peace to one and all,

Fr. Tim, SJ

I came across your blog via a high school classmate who is currently a Lt in the Air Force and stationed in Iraq. I spent four years in a Jesuit, all boys, high school and am now an Atheist. Not that the Jesuits are responsible for that mind you, just catching you up to date. Keep up the good work and come home safe to your family and friends.

Brrrrr! "And the weather outside is frightful...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow." Do you remember that song? I've been taught by those people I know who hang around with A.A. and AlAnon folks that they often say, "Thank You, God, for the seemingly bad, and thank You, God, for the seemingly good." Probably work there in Kosovo, too!
