Dies iræ, dies illa, dies tribulationis et angustiæ, dies calamitatis et miseriæ, dies tenebrarum et caliginis, dies nebulæ et turbinis, dies tubæ et clangoris super civitates munitas et super angulos excelsos. (Vulgate: Zeph 1:15-16)
As has been reported by various news organizations in North Dakota, as well as by the N.D. Governor's Office, and by the N.D. Adjutant General, we experienced a sudden and great sadness a couple of nights ago here in Kosovo.
Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat ei.
Te decet hymnus Deus, in Sion,
et tibi reddetur votum in Ierusalem.
Exaudi orationem meam;
And every new grief brings up every old grief....
Blessings and peace to one and all,
Fr. Tim, SJ

p.s. I'm just too tired and sad at the moment to care whether anyone can't figure out that this is NOT an Official Army Communication.
