Curmudgeon -- somewhere defined as "a crusty, irascible, cantankerous old person full of stubborn ideas." Jesuit, Catholic priest, molecular neurobiologist, SCUBA diver, sober person (10 September 1979), and now Army Chaplain, deployed overseas four times, each time without a weapon. Who knew?

Fr. Tim,
Oh good, I was afraid when I saw the title of this post that you were going to tell us that you had been extended until the end of the year!!! Looking forward to having you and SFC McG home this summer. Bless you brother.
In Christ,
dmk
Thanks, Sir!
Actually, though, it looks as though that as soon as my end-of-tour leave finishes, I will head to 2 weeks of AT, followed by 2 months at Camp Atterbury, followed by 9.5 months in Kosovo with the Guard.
Who knew?
Hope to see you while I'm (briefly) in California. Easter blessings!
Tim, SJ
Well, Fr. Tim,
You were worried about having a job when you returned from the sand box. Looks like you'll be OK for a while after all.
I guess you'll have to break in a new chaplain's assistant, though. SFC McG probably would like to stay home for a while with his family.
Hey, I hear soldiers in Kosovo also like Skittles! (wink!)
