Just when you thought it was safe to go out....

It was looking as though Spring was about to sprung for the last week, and I was beginning to hope against hope that we'd dodged a bullet as far as winter weather was concerned. Alas! I was a bit too optimistic.

The weather has turned really cold again, with icy winds blowing. It's been raining on and off for a couple of days now, and the forecast predicts snow just about every day for the next week.

Sigh.

What with the Spring Equinox fast approaching, though, at least there's reason to believe that even if the appearance of winter returns, it won't be here for long.

It is still Lent, after all, and a bit more cold and miserable (at least for my arthritic joints) weather will just mean that the joy of the resurrection will seem even greater as life and warmth returns to the barren countryside the first weekend of April.

Hooray for that!

Blessings and peace to one and all,

Fr. Tim, SJ
